about
A good story is one you already know, but have not heard before. I try to take pictures presenting what I see in a logical way, focusing on content, and also exploring all means and possibilities the medium of photography offers.
There is plenty I find interesting; portraits, people and visual reporting however are my forte.
I work as a writer, journalist, publisher, producer, translator, teacher and photographer. My first experience as a photo journalist was as public information officer for the Royal Dutch Army. On one of the assignments I reported the British embarkment for the first Gulf War in 1991. One of my last big assignments was photographing the interiors of all Dutch ministeries in The Hague.
I exhibit my work, make books and magazines in small editions and do private projects.
